Working on the interior right now. Specifically the bridge of the ship. Textures are not final, just picked a metal shader until I can decide on the art direction.

Even with reference and inspirational artwork I am having a hard time coming up ideas for props and set pieces. Should I make the space cluttered and worn like a well loved Honda Civic? Or should I make it futuristic and purposeful like the starship Enterprise? I still don't quite know. However, if I go for the former then I will need to make the space more cramped and closed in like the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon.

One of the biggest problems I'm having is finding a good line between realism and stylized features. I want the whole thing to be a bit more stylized so I am going to need to work on that as it progresses.
