The Couch - This was a test for sizing and placement. The couch was made from cubes, subdivided, and creases were sculpted. I couldn't quite manage to get the physics to work properly to show a weighted indentation from the character.

The TV - This is the last render I exported from this scene, hence the updated wood texture, reduced hair particles, new furniture and fireplace light.

Just a quick shot, mainly looking at the different lens sizes for interior and exterior shots.

Final test - Interior lighting and dust/hair particles. I think that I need to tone them down a bit...

This house and living room scene is a work in progress. It is part of an animation that is meant to have a vintage stop motion aesthetic, so materials are scaled and edited to reflect their doll-sized dimensions. The props and furniture are based off of items from the 50s-60s, but I didn't use any firm references to keep the "hand-crafted" feel of a miniature set. The House itself is based on a real house blueprint from the late 1950s that I then modified to fit the layout I wanted.

I am taking a short break from this. However, when I revisit it, I have some plans for how to keep steady progress and will also shorten the overall length of the animation.
