Just a short flyby animation. I hardly ever use camera modifiers so I looked around in there and found the 'Track To' modifier. I wish I knew about this sooner... The end of the movement is a bit choppy because I forgot to finish rotating the ship...
This is just a quick look at the interior, specifically the Bridge. I just wanted to get something out so it's only 12 fps, short, and shot with a very wide lens due to not wanting to mess around with the camera for something so insignificant.

This is the first iteration of a ship I am making for an animated short. The squat appearance of the ship and boxy engine housings are intentional. The plan right now is to build upon this to create a modular ship made up of multiple parts that will combine into a giant robot. This ship is the main control hub and will be the robot's chest. The boxy things to the side will either become the shoulders or will be de-coupled from the ship during the transformation. I am still working on the design for some parts but have initial designs worked out along with the mechanical movements that will need to be possible for the transformation sequence to take place.
The flames and space environment were appended from my rocketship render and tweaked for the new engines and thrusters. Everything else was made over the span of about 6-7 hours. The interior has been started, and by that I mean I have made walls, floor, and a ceiling for the Bridge. As well as the beginnings of an elevator door + shaft. There is also a cargo door on the front of the ship that is in progress.
There are some parts that definitely need to have their UVs fixed, but it's alright for the moment. I am not in love with the paneled material I chose, but I didn't want to spend all day just tweaking materials.
The Big Picture: I am currently thinking that I want to flesh this whole thing out for my main studio project this semester. I had a dumb little idea for an animated short that I wasn't sure about. Now I am planning on taking that idea and reworking with this in mind so that I can come up with a good story while working on the visual aspects at the same time.
