This is a silhouette stop-motion animation that I made in 2021 as a project for Intro to Animation.
The silhouettes are paper puppets and cutouts made from manila file folders. For this animation, I set up a series of glass plates above a monitor with a blank white screen. Between the monitor and the puppets was a sheet of translucent fabric to diffuse the light. The text was written on vellum paper with a sharpie. I used Dragonframe to capture each frame with a DSLR. Each frame was then retouched in Photoshop to increase the contrast, add color, and invert the colors at the end. The edited frames and sound were assembled in Premiere.
